Viticulture
This property has been in the family for several generations. It already belonged to Henri Greloud, the great-great-grandfather of Jacques Guinaudeau who created Lafleur in 1872. The property covers 15 hectares on the second clay-limestone cordon of the Fronsadais, essentially "red vines" which are partly adjacent to the plot that produces the white of Les Champs libres.
Oenology
Grand Village is a bit like the laboratory, the vineyard-school of Lafleur. That is to say that they practice grand cru viticulture. Twenty people in total work at Lafleur and Grand-Village and it is the same team that looks after both vineyards. Even the Lafleur barrels pass through Grand-Village. New, they are freed for 6 months in Grand-Village before continuing their life by receiving the Lafleur wine.
