From a sunny vintage, this marvellous high altitude red (600m) has beautiful scents of blackberry, bramble and pine resin. It offers a superb mouthfeel, full of tension, with a refined texture that evokes its natural environment. A wine of great precision and a remarkable quality of extraction. A real favourite.

Technique

Viticulture

Area of the estate: 13ha. Small terraces of marl and limestone from the Trias, at the very top of the Beaumes de Venise AOC, between 400 and 500m altitude. Vines over 50 years old.

Oenology

Harvested mid to late October. 100% manual, by a small family team which allows sorting at harvest time. Long vinification and maceration, grenache, syrah, carignan and viognier all together. Temperature control. Native yeast. Aged for 1 year in wooden tuns over 15 years old. Yield: 36 Hl/ha.
