Arborina has long been known as one of the greatest terroirs in the village of La Morra, and indeed in all of Barolo. And Silvia and Elio Altare's interpretation of it is masterful, despite the strong competition on this vintage. Spectacular nose of black fruits, liquorice and toast; the palate is firm, nervous and full-bodied, with an insolent youth. A true Barolo for aging! Wine Advocate, M. Larner: 91/100; Vinous: 93/100
