Viticulture

A 20 hectare estate located between Castiglione Falletto and Monforte d'Alba on a hill called Bricco Rovella. The estate is entirely grassed. This barbera comes from Monforte, in the locality of Ornati. South, south-west exposure. Limestone soil. Relatively high altitude: 350-400m.

Oenology

Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks. Aged in tuns and oak barrels for about 12 months. Average production: 18'000 bt.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Stuffed quail, steamed chanterelles - Braised sweetbreads, oyster jus, polenta.
