On the palate, the wine is distinguished by its fullness and impressive dry extract. It is a wine with impressive energy and exceptional ageing potential.

Technique

Viticulture

The Mambourg is the earliest slope in the vineyard. It benefits from the maximum amount of sunshine. Calcimagnesic soil developed on calcareous conglomerates and marl from the Tertiary covering of the hills. This particular geology from the Oligocene limestones of the Quaternary period gives Mambourg its tannic power and a suave roundness of form. The vineyard is planted exclusively with Pinots at 12,700 vines per hectare and produces 15-20 hl/ha.
