Domain
After having worked in various wine estates, at a time when the profession of winegrower was not yet a dream, Frédéric Albaret decided to create his own in 1994, with 13 hectares of vines. His wife Fabienne joined him in 2001 in their brand new winery. The family and the estate grew and in 2012, the property had 26 hectares of vines, with plots of Syrah and Mourvèdre alongside old vines of Carignan and Grenache, traditional grape varieties of the region. To take care of the fragile schistose terroirs, the team in place carries out careful manual work throughout the year, in certified organic culture. At harvest time, the grapes are harvested by hand and placed in small crates, before being vinified in the simplest way possible, with gentle extractions to bring out the local terroir, in three perfectly distinct red wines that express the schist in three aesthetic ways.
