Bought in 2008, Quinault is on the way to finding its feet in a more stripped-down, airy style. The vineyard, on an essentially gravelly terroir, has been rebuilt with good plant material and almost a third of Cabernet Sauvignon. The maturing process has been changed, notably with the use of tuns (50% new wood). Very fine, slender, airy, fresh, with original aromatic notes of citrus and peony. The finish has a supple and smooth tannin. RVF Green Guide: 92/100

Located in the heart of Libourne, Château Quinault L'Enclos is unique in that it is a city vineyard, whose origins date back to Gallo-Roman times. This 20-hectare property, close to the Dordogne river, benefits from a micro-climate that is favourable to vine growing. The average age of the vineyard is 45 years and the oldest vines in production date from 1934.
