Characteristics

The history of the House began in 1923 when the wine and spirits merchant, Alexandre Lecompte, decided to sell his business, with the exception of his stocks of old Calvados. Located near orchards producing the best apples in the region, the House is set up in a small farm in the heart of the Pays d'Auge. It now contains nearly 800 oak barrels in 8 cellars. It is located in Notre-Dame-de-Courson, in the Pays d'Auge.

Oenology

Calvados is produced in a delimited area in Normandy. It consists of the distillation of the cider, followed by blending and maturing exclusively in French oak barrels. After a long ageing period in small barrels, the Cellar Master has managed to bring this Calvados Pays d'Auge to full maturity, with a final passage in small oak tuns where all its aromas finish to melt.
