Cavesa le CAVE, le club des amateurs de vins exquis

Bas Armagnac Folle Blanche, Château de Tariquet, 45%

  • Appellation: Bas Armagnac
  • Domain: Yves Grassa
  • Grape variety(ies): Folle Blanche
  • On-call time: 30 years
  • Alcohol degree: 45%
Clear topaz. The nose evokes dried flowers, rum raisins, oriental spices and bulbous notes. Very rich and fat on the attack, the palate tightens up a lot as it evolves and finishes with great character, very long, tight, a little less easy than the *** or VSOP.

Characteristics

This estate is located near Eauze, not far from the Ténarèze border. The Grassa family acquired it in 1912. The vines have since been replanted. The estate is as well known for its dry white wines as for its magnificent, very fruity and often very sweet Armagnac. It is often mentioned that the brandy made from the Folle Blanche grape is known for its suppleness, finesse and fruitiness.

Suggestions for accompaniment

On its own after a good meal as a digestive, or with a rather mild cigar such as a Vegas Robaiana or a Cohiba.
