Definition: Pouilly-Fuissé

A dry white wine made from Chardonnay grapes, with a protected designation of origin from the southern Mâconnais region. Not to be confused with Pouilly Fumé, a dry white wine from the Pouilly-sur-Loire region made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Locally, it is known as Blanc Fumé.
