Definition: Château-Grillet AOC

One of only two French appellations to comprise a single estate, the other being La Romanée-Conti. Its reputation as one of the world's finest white wines is currently under threat from the formidable advances made by Condrieu. In the best vintages, the wine has a light golden colour and offers a seductive floral and fruity bouquet, with notes of peach and lime. Made from Viognier grapes, it can be kept for between 3 and 7 years. See Condrieu.
